Syncing Stripe with QuickBooks
Bring your ticket, add-on and sponsorship payments into QuickBooks with an app on your own Stripe account.
Why this works
Your payments are charged on your own Stripe account, so any Stripe-to-QuickBooks app can read them. There's nothing to set up in Tidy Events.
Choose a sync app
Stripe's own QuickBooks app is free and covers the basics. Paid apps such as Synder and PayTraQer go further, splitting out Stripe fees, refunds and payouts so they match your bank deposits.
- In your Stripe Dashboard, open the App Marketplace, or find the app in the QuickBooks app store.
- Install it and connect your QuickBooks Online company.
- Choose which accounts sales, fees and payouts should land in. Your accountant can help here.
What you'll see
Each payment shows the item name from Tidy Events, such as a ticket type, an add-on or a sponsorship, along with any sales tax Stripe Tax collected. Payouts arrive as deposits net of Stripe's fees.
Sales tax collected through Stripe Tax is money you owe the state, not income. Ask your accountant how to book it.
