September Update
September 1, 2026
Howdy, everyone! We’re back with some fun updates to share today! Let’s get into it — First off, BOTH batches of Early bird tickets sold out within 2 weeks. Wowza! General admission tickets are still available and there are 70 remaining!
The BarCamp Omaha team has been busy flyering the town with conference cards designed by Notist/Anthony Banks, this year’s Design track sponsor. Anthony - YOU ROCK!! Thank you so much!
Speaking of sponsors, Unabridged Software is this year’s Technology sponsor! Unabridged employs two of our event organizers, Kit and Will. Thank you, Unabridged, for your continued support in making BarCamp Omaha possible!
An emerging trend for this year’s conference is the celebration of analog. Here are some recent updates and collaborations along that theme.
- Omaha Payphone Project will be installed at Kaneko during month of November! The Omaha Payphone Project is an unassuming phone booth featuring poetry and music from local artists that you access by dialing numbers in an accompanying phone book. It's really quite a beautiful concept. We’re excited it'll be present at the Kaneko during the event for you all to experience!
- In a similar vein, Anthony bought two old-school phones that are XLR connected to interview people at the conference. Pretty slick! We are looking forward to hearing your stories at BarCamp 2026.
- Sticker exchanges are part of graphic design culture. This year, we’re planning a Sticker Exchange booth for designers to have their own stickers featured while getting to know other designers in the community. If you’re interested in participating, select the “Sticker Exchange” add-on for your ticket, and the BarCamp team will get in touch!
- Lastly, there will be a modern photo booth supplied by Michael Hennings from Party Booth Omaha partyboothomaha. HUZZAH! Thanks, Michael! We are grateful for the help to make this event so delightful and memorable.
The spirit of BarCamp has always been about community, cross-discipline collaboration, and serendipity. This year is already shaping up to be one of the most collaborative events yet!
Coming up in September, we’ll be sharing more righteous design by Anthony Banks, Dillon Wheelock, and Bryan Findell. We'll also be announcing more collaborations with community members.
If you’re looking for ways to help, we’re looking for partners who will help make this event one for the ages. Please share the prospectus with organizations that you know would love to support BarCamp Omaha!
Thanks again, all, and have a great week!
